What you are about to read is immature, vindictive, snide, and totally inappropriate; I will probably wake up in the middle of the night, overcome with guilt, and delete this post before morning.
My apologies in advance of the diatribe; sometimes a woman has to vent.
Sometimes other women associated with said woman do such outrageous, self-centered, obliviously cruel, underhanded, impossible things that double–often triple–takes are in order.
And then boast about it.
Publicly and repeatedly–as if she actually thought I didn't know the facts of the matter.
My more sinister side wants to make this post public and roast said individual over the searing flame of sarcasm and cruel wit; my more cowardly and/or compassionate side will probably click on some sort of limited privacy setting.
Unfortunately, my true self–that core creature who believes that "that which ye do send out shall return unto you again"–will also probably just…quit while I'm ahead.
Maybe, that core creature, in a couple of days will even cork her indignation enough to reach out to said individual and find some sincere way to connect so that the next time I see her,  I can look her in the eye without snarling.

I am so sorry, Kimber! I can relate to dealing with mean women….the "mean girls" that never grew up. It is hard to take, especially when it involves you. No one deserves to be treated this way. I am so sorry that you had to be around these women when they were being biotches! Hang in there, Kimber. You will rise above them!

Especially when the "mean girls" aren't even girls–more like twice my age, and should know better! Sad part is, she has no idea what a blunderbuss she is! Which I suppose makes it easier to forgive and rise above. I think…

I remember my mother being aghast at how I was treated when people found out that my son was gay. What I said to her was, I am not too surprised because I have known many a mean girl in my day and lots of them grow up to be mean women, unfortunately. As you said, some of them do not have a clue. Sad! I am sorry, for you though, that you have to endure it, as you are a kind an loving person.

I hope so, what else is Vox good for? Venting posts are the best! 😀
I know what you mean – I've worked with people who just blurt out totally disrespectful comments in front of clients, etc. I have to tell them, if you have a problem with me, say so in private.
    Sheesh, people are such jerks.

Yes, and why is it the most difficult ones are always the ones you are stuck with for, if not life, a really long time–the idiots in passing don't bother me much–mostly just make me smile–but the ones you're linked to by blood/employment are the ones that really get to you, you know?

"The difficult person." We all have at least one. Either a neighbor, a co-worker, a family member or in-law (out-law). Hang in there, Kimber, and let us know what you do, or don't do. There are times that I have had to refrain as well because doing would have escalated things even more. To make it more complicated, in the South in the United States, we are taught, growing up, to be SO POLITE, that we smile and chat with our worste enemies. So "killing with kindness" is our normal mode of operendi and is not even noticed, lol!

Sure wish I knew the story behind this post! Not that it's any of my business, just because I'm a writer who always likes to know the rest of the story.

Oooh, I would love to write this story–it is truly stranger than fiction and would possibly fill volumes. I don't think, that in good conscience, I ever can though–at least not without some heavy adjusting to characters and situation so that she wouldn't recognize herself and sue and/or strangle me!
